Most recent stringerless EPS build.
Design: Very flat 3 5/8" nose rocker 1. 5/8" Tail. Similar to a Xanadu Gipos with some Hypto influence. This is the third iteration of this board that I have built and I have very high expectations for its performance. It will have a 5 fin setup for versatility. And, it packs a lot of volume into a small and fairly thin package for a guy my size.
DIMS: 6' x 21.5" x 2.55" x N 16.15" x T 16" 39 Ltrs Vol.
Glass: 6oz bottom and 2x4oz deck with a patch. Resin tint red tail and cream top.
Carbon: 6 strand bottom 3/4. Deck 2x 3" strips center of board and tapered.
Will throw down more picks as I get the deck glassed and fins installed. My goal with this one is to see how the carbon makes the board react with thin super light EPS.
Finally got it done. Top and bottom turned out ok. Color was a bit lighter than i wanted but otherwise I can't wait to get it into the water!
HP lb, Greg Griffin tribute: flat bottom nose to tail with edge rail.
I rarely post but I read the archives all the time. My account was deleted because I post so infrequently! Thanks to everyone for all the knowledge over the years. My three year old calls this "the man with the yellow hat's board." PU blank, 7'0" x 22 X 2.75. I'm 6'4", 205#. Meant for bigger waves (which I never actually surf). Resin research epoxy with yellow pigment. Glass, 2 layers of 4 oz sandwiched on both sides. Zebrawood glass on fins. Glassed on fin loop.
Been playing around with narrowing the tail of my favourite small wave craft and added a heap of plugs so i can try loads of set ups:)
Went great as a quad last night in 5 ft surf...
show us the deck as well, your use of materials is always super creative
Here is a twingle I finished up a few weeks ago. Headed to New Jersey for the upcoming summer surf.
Been getting a lot of really good feed back on the fin set up - and Bills broomtail template aswell.
NICE ONE, wideawake.
