FAQ,Beginners Area, Read First Sticky Thread

#1 Back to Top

This thread is intended to be a place for links to other threads that are generally considered to contain useful information for beginners, sort of a "start here at Sways if you're thinking of building your first board".

For a while it will be read-only.  We'll start another thread in which y'all can comment on a) whether this is useful; b) how it can be better; c) which other threads should be in here.

Hope it helps...

good way to find accurate info on Swaylocks.. read posts by industry experts who have figured it out the hard way. Look up (by using the search box, or Google search, or by clicking on their user name) post by guys like these:

Glassing (poly, gloss resin, pinlines: Kokua, Cleanlines

Shaping and Glassing: Bill Barnfield

Fin Making:  Larry Allison

Vacuum Bagging, wood fins:  Bert Burger

Making boards with Epoxy: Greg Loehr

will add more names & topics later but you get the idea I hope...
