You really don’t need a big handboard once you are on the wave.
What you really need is

There are TWO key design factors of why my handboards work better than any other handboard design. It's not only because of the size and shape but also because of the unique strap design positioning.
By positioning the straps to hold just the two middle fingers and a strap across the top of the hand provides the stability you need to feel in your hands giving you better control of each handboard.
These are hand made taking on a unique nostalgic recycled look and design of the olden day plywood paipo boards. Each handboard in the set is specifically designed for the right and left hand measuring 9" long, 5 1/2" wide, and 3/8" thick). The straps are 3/4" soft heavy duty polypropylene with a slide buckle for adjusting to size and comfort and the straps will stay locked in place.

Whether it’s breaking 2 feet or 6 feet plus, you'll be in control of riding the wave with two separate handboards. This will allow you to swim free stroke and to manenuver yourself in the right position for take off.
Once on the wave the size and shape of both handboards will allow you to drop into a left or right break. Bodysurfing with two handboards will give you more options. You will be able to speed up and control your trim holding tight in the speed zone or put on the brakes and slow it down with two handboards.
Because of the extra speed you gain taking off deep in the wave is the ultimate thrill. No other handboard design gives you the comfort and confidence to take your wave riding skills and performance to the highest possible level. You're gonna be so stoked!
Keep in mind like all wave riding vehicles learning how to control your speed will take some time and hopefully not too many wipe outs before you get the hang of bodysurfing and hydroplaning with two handboards.

About the day: La Push (Washington Coast) sea temp was 48F with 8' swells out of the NW at 7 second intervals, tighter by far than I would like to see but steep faces that barreled as soon as they hit the shallow offshore sand bar. I was anxious to try out my new handboards. At first it was a bit cumbersome to manage both my fins and the handboards while putting them on outside the shore pound, but this will no doubt will be much easier next time. I immediately noticed a much more powerful stroke and indulged in a backstroke to the break without kicks, saving my legs for the ride. The first wave showed my over eagerness, but the second was better, but again I needed to adjust my style to these new accessories. It all came very intuitively and within 15 minutes I was carving like I didn't believe was possible--feeling the thrill that 'anything is possible' I attacked the falls, big mistake, both boards flipped back and in a millisecond I released my grip and my hands were free. Even though I knew they floated, hell if I could find them. I finished my session without them and vowed to reorder ASAP.
These are the most exciting accessory since fins. Well made, light, practical, and feel completely natural after just a few minutes. The sport still feels minimalist.
The only suggestions are: a non-skid surface against the palm and a bright fluorescent color such as international orange. I'll be sure to write my name and address on the next pair.
