Australian Surfboard manufacturer enjoys the advantages of Surfboard Tracker (SBT)
Gunther Rhon sees SBT as a force for the industries future.
Gunther says, “Going 100% with SBT is key to our development for our surfboard manufacturer at home and overseas.
Currently all our EPS and Carbon fibre surfboards carry SBT.
We are in progress using the SBT system for our full range of export models, Gunther Rhon shapes recently launched in Japan at the Board Culture show, each board contained SBT, that is the standard now.
During the middle of the year all our domestic boards produced for the Australian market will contain SBT although some are already in the Sydney area, these will include all Ripcurl boards we produce too. SBT gives our boards that hidden identity. We see great advantages it.

SBT is a good deterrent to help the stem the trade in stolen boards, even if it gets lost at the warehouse, or at the retailer. Boards with the implant can be switched off and listed on the system as stolen and will show up if registered somewhere else.
