I hate to part with this surfboard but someone will be very fortunate to own this surfboard that has a little bit of everything. First, this board is all wood and hallow. The deck is C.Rosa. The bottom is Obeche, found in west Africa. Second, this board is made in the Old Sugar Mill on the North Shore of Oahu. Third, the board is a Brewer Pipeliner shape. Boscoe Burns did the glass job. Forth, it comes complete with a certificate of ownership. And last of all it's brand new, never been in the water.
I bought the board almost 5 years ago and have had it in a place of honor in my home and would like to see it go to someone who appreciates a beautiful work of art that is also a symbol of what we love to do, surf. This board is a rare find because they only make about 10 of these a year now. Lon Klein limits the number of boards and this particular one is #59 made in June of 1999 and called North Shore Woodie. The company has changed it's name to Haleiwa Surfboard Co. now.The size is 9'0 1/2"X22-1/2X3 1/8" and weighs 21 lbs. I have more pictures of the board if you are interested in purchasing. The web site is haleiwasurfboard.com if you want more information on the company. Prices for this type of board start at $2500 and up.The combinations of wood can really make a difference in the price. This one is all blond except for the fins which are dark red Koa.So if you want a board with a little bit of everything, real wood, classic shaped Brewer, Hawaiian Aloha Sprit, a rare collectable, this ones for you. Reduced Price!
