I've been dying silk inlays for my husband's surfboard business here on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Silk dyes beautifully and it's super thin, lightweight and easy to work with. Holds very little resin. Works with epoxy or polyester resin. No problems with delams.
This is a 10-foot-long raw cut (no hems) of silk hand dyed by me (Mother Sunshine) in a kaleidoscope mandala pattern of rainbow (red/orange/yellow/green/blue) and black (no purple or pink so it is good for male or female). 36 inches wide. Can be used on one longboard, SUP, or divided up for shortboards.... We use our leftovers as window curtains. Email me for larger pics and/or pictures of other longboards we've done. I also have links to feedback if wanted. My ebay seller id is down*to*earth (100% with over 2000).
