I've been experimenting with board construction for 6 years. I need to clearout some room in my garage if I want to make any more.
This is board number 6/22 that I've made.
It is 6'3"x22 1/2"x3". One Lb. EPS with 1/6" balsa sandwiched between 6oz. glass on inside and 6 oz. zynolene on the outside.
zynolene is more abrasion resistant but I found that it also absorbs resin and doesn't come clear...it's a little milky color.
No dings, dents, or??? Prime number 1.
Ride report...I ride longboards, what else can I say? This is the shortest board I've ever tried so... IT catches waves FAST! Turns even faster and holds in just fine. Only negative comment is that I think it is a bit thick for me (160 lbs)but should work GREAT for someone heavier.
