This is my first board. I wanted something easy to paddle to catch weak hip-high- on/cross shore summer waves that had characteristics of a long board yet could fit in my small car. I didn't want to shape something that I could easily buy!
I have surfed it once. It is obviously 'corky' yet seems to turn okay. IT seems to push/plough water and slows/stalls after take-off. Too muck rocker maybe? Too much drag in the rails??
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Love the bright yellow, and
Love the bright yellow, and finnish looks great! I've just finished making a new board and experienced the same feeling as you described with slowness after take off. I have always made my boards fairly thick with big concave on the bottom and they are always rapid! However this time I made the board flat with a v off the tail so I'm pretty certain that's what is slowing it down. My first board had the same rails as your banana board and I loved it, felt a little strage at first but then turned out to be the most fun board ever!
Looks like an amazing first
Looks like an amazing first attempt mate, well done. Embrace the quirks of your back yard built board, the slowness just gives you more time to appreciate your craftsmanship ;) Enjoy
