"futzing around with stupid/expensive mastic tape."
what the fck is your problem?
my way is better, sillys way is stupid and expensve and fcking around.
fck you !
tell your big idea to the other 1 million people that use mastic in the composite industry.
wanna play that game go for it. im not stupid.. claiming cdd and making some ugly POS
btw if its your intent to try and get me banned by posting your drible and hoping for a reaction. you done a good job. just dont forget who owns the compsand site
you have serious issues, paul.
I have used mastic, I find the bag clamps cleaner, quicker, less wasteful and more cost effective...it is a more elegant solution.
my personal experience with mastic was that it was FKN STUPID compared to the alternatives.
I hadn't even read all the way down to your post when I quoted Shwuz so if you want to take my judgement of a particular product as a personal judgement
upon yourself then that's on you.
you continue to look like a beligerent douchebag flying off the handle like this. even moreso when you make a poor attempt to tear me and my builds down..."claiming CDD" doesn't even warrant a response as I've done no such thing.
something tells me that if the compsand site was worth two shits you'd be spending a whole lot less time around here trying to drag everyone else down with your jingoistic nonsense and huie-chugging.
hey afoaf im quite aware of most of my shortcomings that you have pointed out
i guess you are yet to be made aware, that you are a dickhead
quite the contrary, I am a fully self-aware dickhead...ask anyone.
The ACP site has everything from ports, to clamps, and bags. Using the tube bag is very easy. If you go the clamp route I would recommend to pre-clamp the clamps when they are new and leave them clamped. When they are new they are finger killers to try and seal the bag. Once they relax it is pretty easy. The 36" width bag is good for surfboards.
I prefer the tubes because once everything is sealed in the bag it is clean and can be moved and handled. If I use my rocker table I can adjust the position of the board while it is under vacuum.
If I don't need a table in the case of a stringered board the tube will allow you to pull all the bag material over the rail making for a smooth flat transition from the deck to the bottom or top.
I am going to vaccum seal my surfboard. I was wondering if you could use a normal vacuum? Also where did you guys find your instructions for how to do it? Ive heard that if you vacuum bag it a couple times you dont need to use fiberglass and resin, is that true?
Any tips or instructions would be awesome
