The cant of the side fins depends on how you want the board to surf. 1/8" is a good place to start. I usually put the back of my center fin box 6 1/2" to 7" up from the tail and trailing edge of the side fins somewhere around 14" or 15" from the tail, I think...
A good starting point is to set the back of the center box at 5" and the back of the sidebites @ 15" or so. The cant angle will be between 4 and 6 degrees. I am doing toe-in a little different now, mark the stringer @ 12 from nose (12N) and measure out between 3 and 3 1/2" on each side. I use a flat piece of PVC from Home Depot that is about 1 1/2" x 1/8" thick to align the dots with to draw in the toe angle. This system takes into account the board length and its relationship to sidefin toe angle. Also the back of the side fins are set in from the rail edge approximately 1 1/4". Hopes this helps get you in the ballpark. Krokus
