I order custom rockers for most my boards. It's a ton easier for me to make more rocker in the bottom than trying to remove rocker from the deck to get a proper foil. This one is -3/4 nose -3/4 tail. Deck is mostly flat with just a little rocker in the tail. Bottom rocker is 3.5 nose and 4.25 tail. On pigs with wide tails you have to spin the blank to get the planshape anyway. This one I probably didn't have to because the stringers added so much width but I'm a creature of habit.
I do my top and bottom rail bands at 1.75-2.75-4.25 and get a nice fuller egg rail. I carry it through nose to tail and it adds the extra belly in the front and back and keeps the middle reasonably flat. Too much belly in the middle really slows the board in my opinion.
The logs like this I like to ride don't like to turn without commitment and persuasion but that is half the reward. Drop a knee and pivot hard!
it works good like this. just need to throw some white flat paint on the inside. got the thing for $50, if i was to build it from scratch it´d end up costing 4 times more atleast.
After hours this last weekend, pretty close to lamination on these two!
I think these are my 4th and 5th technically. The longer one I had over catalyzed the first time around, but managed to finally get some time to rip off the glass and salvage the foam!
Thanks!

Hi, this is my last board:
5'5'' x 20 3/8'' x 2 1/4'' - twin fin moontail
EPS + epoxy + carbon tape
I've to improve in shaping and glassing but I'm really proud of this baby

Looks great! Nice job on that "moon" tail. They are a lot harder to get right then people think. Enjoy the ride. Lowel

Nice work!
Super jealous!
Nice use of the tanning light. A lot of people stripp the light fixture and start from scratch, but that's a simple way to set it up.

That's a nice shaping bay setup for a guy who is only on #2.
