I did something like that on my last board, but it ended up much smaller in size. Steam bending wood that thick is possible, but it takes a very careful selection of wood. A lot of time and steam is also helpful. Redwood is damn near impossible to bend that much without it breaking.
If you are keen to do it again look up bent laminations. That's what it's called in the wood working world. If you carefully cut and sand the strips, you can get the resulting bent lamination to look like a solid uncut block, very similar to the look from steam bending.
Here are pictures of the one I did. The wood is Opiuma, I think.
Basic shape, basic rails, flat bottom, all epoxy. I'm happy with it seeing as it's only my 3rd proper board built entirely by me. Next time I'll do the fin boxes under the lam. Thanks to Bill Thrailkill for the inspiration.
I actually "painted" the resin right onto the foam in order to seal it up, then glassed it clear. This duo ( or twingle) setup isn't my first. I've done it before but it's always been on a normal board that I changed into the twingle setup. This board is my first attempt at a board strictly meant as a twingle.
Looks like they sell/sold boards and smaller motorcycles. Not much on their Facebook since 2016 or 2017

woah is that a duo fin set-up? that's bold for #3!
did you tint the resin or paint the foam? I just did my first resin swirl a couple weeks ago. So much fun
