Just kidding, I don’t need to know the value of this board but I would appreciate any info you can give me on this Doug Wright Rainbow single fin. It’s 6’9", thick and floaty but not very wide.
I only found one thread in the search regarding Doug Wright and I know he is still around in Florida making racing boats. I’m really interested in what year this board was made. Obviously, it’s somewhere in the 80s, I’m hoping it’s in the earlier half of that century. Thanks in advance for any info/stories you can provide.
One surfing related question I have is what size and type fin is time appropriate for this board? It came with a 8.25" Donald Takayama fin which I’ve since used comfortably in my longboard (fin hummed, sanded trailing edge). I’m guessing maybe a Rainbow type fin, 6.5-7.5"?
