Wooden fins

Hi everyone, 

I’m currently making a recycled board out of cardboard and am getting close to the stage of making fins. I’m planning on making them out of old skateboard decks or alternatively ply. I’m unsure whether to resin them in to the board then glass the whole lot at once, or glass the fins and resin them in to board and then glass the board? 

Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

There’s lots of info on this if you search the site, but here’s how I do it:

Lam fins 

Lam board

Glass on fins

Hotcoat the fins when you hotcoat the deck, you can use a blade to scrape off the drips after it gels
