1mm Toe out! Nooooo!

I set the keels to my fish tonight… Double foil. 0.5” above crack… 1.25” from rail at 3 degree cant and no toe in. I went to measure once set and the left keel measures 145.5mm from stringer at heel and 146.5mm at leading edge - so a 1mm toe out. Right keel was at 146mm and 146mm.

So so the question is do I break that loose (tacked on with legit super glue) or leave be before glassing on? Is 1mm going to manifest itself or perhaps when glassed on shape the fabric slightly to push the leading edge over 1 degree…?

thanks

As me, less than 1mm is a good shape resolution.

Can you see the difference beetween fins ? I guess you’ll not feel it.

It’s easy to fix now but won’t be later.  Use a heat gun on the tacked hot glue to soften it.  It will come right off.  Might not even have to take the fin off.  With the glue softened you can probably adjust the toe by sliding it over. If you leave it and you don’t like it later, it will be a pain in the ass to fix after glass.  But you may never notice the difference in the ride.  If it were any harder to fix I would say leave it.  But it’s an easy fix.

Completely spaced on using a heat gun… worked perfectly. Thanks Lowel
