Treasure Found

I’ve been spending a lot of time researching hulls as I want to design my first hull style board with all this downtime. Having never even seen a hull board I have been researching online non-stop trying to aquire dimensions and values - mainly on the bottom contours. This has lead me to reading a lot on Hilbers, Andreini, Greenough, KP and more modern guys like Lovelace. It has been fascinating reading the history behind these boards and the hull development.

Anyway, this morning I came across this blog and thought I would post it here for those that love the history of the pig. I won’t ruin the read, but crazy how the pig was discovered. Again through a pure accident it would seem!

Enjoy!

Sorry forgot to include this podcast found as well with Andreini… talks about hull designs in the beginning

Mike Black has been running that blog for years.  I haven’t checked it in the last couple years but he was hot on the old skool pigs, particularly the Bings.  There’s lots of material on those and related designs.   Reading up on them will keep you busy for a while.

Thanks that’s a good read.
