How to preserve a signed signature done in marker

Hi guys

does anyone know how to preserve/ protect a signed signature on an old Malibu surfboard this was signed by Floyd smith in black texta marker was thinking of glossing over the top but was told that resin might eat into the signature as I still want to ride the board thanks

An acrylic sealer brushed over the signature could then be glassed over.  If you use the board much, UV/sun rays will fade the signature eventually.  Don’t know where you are, but any kind of Acrlylic Waterborne Sealer would work.  Floor sealers like Behr Floor and Tile, synthetic varnishes and sealers like Minwax.  Anything like that will do the trick.  Goes on “milky”, dries clear.  Use a foam brush.   Lowel

Thanks was told to go over the signature in a posca pen then it should be fine to gloss over but still need to research this or just use a sealer aerosol spray gloss one thanks

Do a test if you are going to use a spray can.
