6oz style 128 silane 627 fiberglass

Anyone here ever use this style fiberglass for surfboards?

Seems like a real tight weave. Not sure how it performs strength wise.

Found it real cheap but I am not optimistic.

You may have difficulty getting it to wet out throughly.

Thanks McDing. Forget that. Need it wet with no issues.

If you’re not vacuum bagging, it could give you problems. I have some, but I bag most stuff. If you do use it, I’d use a wet out table to wet the glass and then use Jimmy Lewis’s “poor man’s vacuum bag” technique to pull the glass down tight to the board. Those Jimmy Lewis videos were posted here on Swaylocks, or you could search them on YouTube. Good luck!

Thanks guys

think I will stick w my 6oz warp!

No problems hand lam tight weaves with epoxy, roll resin on blank lay fiber on,  roll over then squegge excess. Tight flat fiber seems to have better impact  strenght / weight ratio.

Warp is good bradda.    Easy to work with and on a deck if you combine it with straight E, that is a very good combo.
