I got word from an old high school friend of his that Don Bennett my have passed away earlier this year. I was lucky enough to fix up one of his boards as well as talk to him about it (via email). He responded to my questions, saying he would still be shaping if his eye wasn’t injured. Also, the board rode fantastically.
If anybody has any info, it would be much appreciated.
For those of you East Coasters growing up in the 60s-70s, some of you might have one of his boards, or maybe some stories of him. If you do, please share. There is barely any information on one of the best board makers the rest of the world never knew.
