When to sand the plugs? after hotcoat or glosscoat?

Hi guys, I’m building my first board and had some questions I was able to find the answers in Swaylock’s so thank you all for that. There is this specific question i cannot find the answer. My board is a PU blank with polyester resin. I added the fin plugs before laminating and the leash plug after laminating but before hot coat (but with a cloth on top of it).

I finished the hotcoat and I’m asking myself if I should sand and expose the plugs now (after the hotcoat) or make it after glosscoat?

of course, if I make it now, I will cover them again with tape before the glosscoat, but I think it is better to ask here before doing one more thing wrong… hahaha

Cheers guys,

Hello; yes; sand it after the hot coat. If you check the kits you would see more stickers to cover again the boxes.

Nice, thanks

After hot coat so you Can fill open bubbles while you gloss. Small détails that make durable boards…
