SHAPER I.D.: 70s 8'2 Single fin

Hey there folx.

Having a hard time finding out much about this board. It’s an 8’2" tube shooter single fin with the lam “Endless Summer” and a very unusual “Doyle” (I think??) sig.  I inherited it from a friend from deeep in his garage who has been in the Central Coast, CA area since the early 60s, so it’s likely made in California. Looks like the leash loop was added later (He also did that on an old Con noserider that I rode for a few months). I have had thoughts that it’s some sort of special edition August but I feel like he would have deffinitely signed it at least. Where our 70s chargers @?

That artwork looks very familiar. I’m pretty sure it was a label for a clothing company or some kind of surf accessory in the early 70s. To my knowledge, it is not a surfboard brand.

My gut tells me this is a backyard board.
