There’s a bit of a fad round here at the moment for twin pin boards. I’m talking about a modern twin pin not a retro one. Anyone here have any insight into these things? My daily rider is a 5’9"X19"X2.5"X25 litres rounded pin quad, so I don’t think it’d be much of a stretch for me to ride something similar as a twin. I have a couple of other twins so am used to riding them.
I havent tried one yet but I’ve been interested in them too… I read that having a channel bottom can make a big difference on them… basically a Channel Twin. I think it was Torren Martyn that said they got his twin fin really dialed in when they added the channel bottom to the design. He gets them from Morning of the Earth Surfboards. Might be worth a look…
Yeah, I’ve seen a few with slot channels as well. Looks like I might have to learn to shape channels now.
