Logo on pigmented hot coat

Looking for some tips!  Planning to add black pigment to my hot coat since my lamination didn’t come out as dark as I had hoped for (looks grey).  I didn’t put the logo under the lamination since my lamination was pigmented as well.  How should I add my rice paper logo?  Should I do the black pigmented hot coat and then once dry, paint on the logo with some resin, let it dry and then add a gloss coat?  I think it might be odd to patch of fiberglass over it between the hot coat and gloss coat.  I was hoping to not have to do a gloss coat but that might be the only way.  I’m using epoxy resin.  Thanks in advance!
