Tips for using red and black tints/pigments

I’m going to build a board for a friend and the main base colors of the board will be red and black. Probably pigments instead of tints. But I have no experience working with these two colors, and have read on here in the past that working with these two colors can be somewhat persnickety. I’d be grateful for some insight on using both tints and pigments in red and black that will lead to a successful outcome. Thanks!

Why don’t you put up a pic or drawing of what you intend to with these two colors.  May not be advisable for you to use pigment or tint.  Depends on the application.  Pin lines, panels, stripes;  Whats’s the intent?

Black tint is pretty much impossible. Tints are transparent colors. Black is not transparent. I suppose if you mixed a small amount of black pigment in resin it would result in some shade of gray?
