Crack under the hotcoat

Hey folks, just noticed this crack under the hotcoat starting at an old fix (not my handiwork) on the bottom of my nose. I can’t feel it with my nail at all so not in at least the top of the hotcoat. The first few inches beside the fix I can maybe feel the slightest hump when I run my finger over it. We’re talking barely. What am I dealing with and what should I do to remedy? I’ve already fixed a bunch of crap with this thing, looks like I’m in store for some more work! Thanks for any advice in advance!

Sand it until you can’t  see it, put a piece of 4oz over it, hot coat and sand.

Sounds good, thank you! Do I need to do anything about that old ding repair or should I just worry about the crack you think?

I would sand that area as well and attempt to clean up the whole thing.  You may not be able to sand the crack and the ding completely invisible, but it will certainly look better.
