Makita ‘On the fly’

Hey 

I got my grubby hands on a MAKITA 850W 82MM PLANER KP0810 and wondered if anyone is using one and or can suggest if Im able to modify it to ‘On the Fly’ adjustment?

give me thoughts legends!

Try sending petec a PM.  He may have some info for you.  May have a kit for sale.  Can’t say for sure because I am not familiar with model #'s.  But at one time there was a kit available for Makita planers.

There is a kit to convert a Makita for sale on the Foam EZ website.  I do not know whether it will work for your planer.  I am not familiar with Makita model #'s .  It’s pricey at $260 .  But would make a hell of a planer out of your Makita.  That is;  If it fits??

Yep have just seen that kit… makes it pretty pricey to get into Australia with conversion and shipping!?! more than planer itself! Boo hoo

Try Shapers Australia.  I may have heard thru the coconut wireless that they had those kits at one time.
