Any of you guys tried this particular model? I have a deposit down on a Model T ( a shape I've ridden in the past) but now worrying about my choice. The Model T is a great shape, don't get me wrong, it's just that after riding more 'performance shapes' lately with 2+1 fin set-ups, and the fact I want a board I can ride in a variety of conditions, I'm having second thoughts.
Thought the 10,2 would have the glide but also be able to be ridden off the tail and thrown about a bit. I'm 6,1" and weigh nearly 200lbs.
If anyone has experience of this shape please let me know what you think.
Many Thanks,
Andy
I rode one... not a 10'2, but I believe a 9'6?... and liked it. It was a rental that I rode in chest high and under beachbreak for a few days when I was on vacation this past summer. Not the best longboard I've ver ridden, but fun in less than great surf. A bit too light for me, so it didn't have the glide in water with some texture. But it had a very stiff carbon fiber fin in it that added some snap and you could definately surf it off the tail.
Howzit andy, Since it is a Tuflite there should be no problem changing to a different model as long as it is a Tuflite. They are not custom shaped for just one person and there fore the retailer justs wants to sell you a board and I doubt he cares which one. Aloha,Kokua
