Ive been looking for one and always seem to just miss out on the used ones when they come up for same. So if someone has a working one that they just arent using, and/or want some extra money for the holidays. Please PM me with the details. Thanks, Chris
where are you located Chris?
im in daytona beach florida
You can buy a brand new one modified by the same people who did the Clark planers at Atlantic Surfoam in Melbourne. I'd be wary of used ones because someone may have cooked the bearing seats.

with the modified depth adjustment, how deep is the cut? 1/16", 1/8", 3/16?? Thats a good idea Mike ill call them on monday. I build like 15-20 boards a year, and was looking to have less of an investment than a brand new planer costs.
The cut depth is 1/8''. I think the price is $369, which is very fair IMO. If you call Monday talk to Skip (Donna can help you, but Skip is a shaper and knows a little more about planers). You may already know them if you've been buying blanks there.

this maybe a stupid question but, do they come with the grit barrel/drum?
You'd better ask them, I know blades are standard.

hey Mike, thanks for the suggestion. I went down there and bought the modified planer and other things. Great people. Cant wait till tomorrow morning when I get to shape my first blank with it. The planer ive been using only cut 1/32"deep, this modified on is a bit more than 1/8", cant wait.
Glad that worked out, I should have mentioned that they have other pro shaping products like stringer planes and microplane tools. You are very correct that they are good people, Donna and Skip do a great job. Take care of the planer (don't overheat the bearings, change them at first sign of wear), and it'll last you for thousands of boards.
