G&S Single Fin Swallow Tail - Dumpster Dive Prize

Can anyone here help me identify year/shaper on this one?
G&S 6’-11" Single Fin (purple) Single Cut Swallow Tail
The shaper/date is blured under the resin and can’t make it out.
Overall it’s in pretty good shape cept’n the tail drags.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys <:((()))=<

around 1978 would be my guess.  but good grief, take that freaking tail pad off the thing.

I had one that John Holly shaped. Exact same colors everything, except the ugly pad, 1975/6. Were not to many like it.Look really hard into the resin work for the name.

Yep, good idea on a bad idea  Thanks for the info & advice. Slo

Thanks Ace,

That’s a name I know. Been getting a lil G&S history lately. I thought it might be before the Magic & around the time MR did the 2x fin, do you know if he weened the shape at G&S (MRs early 2 fin single wing swallow is close in shape). Slo

The board I had, which was part of a handful of boards i did not shape myself, was before the MR twin fin came along. California was locked into the single fin round pin as the standard.

I am sure there are others who are better G&S experts out there. I had lots of friends who worked there. I did not.

John Holly was a very good shaper.
