I have a aquired some xps foam in excess. I want to make a handplane with it. I’ve read previous
threads about xps and epoxy delaminating over time especially in higher temps. I was wondering if
I painted the foam with a latex paint before laminating if this would stop the xps from reacting with the
epoxy and heat making it delaminate? Also, with foam handplanes, leash plugs are the only way to
attach a grip/handle. Would a vented leashplug decrease the chances of delam in xps as it does
with eps? Also, if I were to cover the foam in latex paint, could I use poly resin when laminating?
