I only knew him as 'NuclearFishin' (RIP) but always appreciated his reasoned input. My condolences to the family. As with PeteHarwood's loss... too soon.
Im sad to hear about this, I met him on the beach a while ago , he introduced himself as Jeff and I only later realised the Swaylocks connection, I will miss his input on here which was always filled with what is best described as "stoke" or enthusiasm for surfing and surf craft.
Over the last few years, there have been several deaths of people in their 50s that I know or am familiar with. Having just turned 60, it is unsettling.
Jeff was a member of another forum I am on. Jeff was one of few surfers who knew what I meant when I said, "Closest thing on land to surfing. Guaranteed to improve your surfing." when I was talking about my pneumatic street rigs.
Rest in peace Jeff.
I met him at the NZ sways gathering this year too. He was so stoked talking fins and designs and boards.
He called me out of the blue several weeks back, and we talked about our respective surf trips and boards we wanted to build and our children.
A real loss to Sways.
Kia kaha to his family.

Saddened to hear of Jeff's passing.
Just as many have already mentioned I've PM'ed back and forth with him over the years.
Felt closer to him through knowing a couple of his mates from his home town that live and surf at my local.
My condolences to his family and friends.
I hope he had the best waves he's ever caught at that rivermouth on Sunday.
RIP Jeff.

I wish I could have chatted with him more than I did. RIP, Nuclear Fishing!
Bummer!

I want to ad my condolences. I Did not know Jeff, enjoyed reading his post here.
According to Mikki Dora Malibu went to the Dogs in 1964. The Chumash Indians will tell you it was 1664.
they call yesterday the past,
tommorrow the future,
and today the present,
because it is a gift.
All we have is the present,
and surfing is a fine way to live within it.
Glassy paddleouts, Jeff, and good bros in the lineup...
