First premiso to enter the E&BC.
Provocative and deep crap boys on Harris! Never would have thought my surfing kin would be of the same mind in other aspects of this life. New to this forum and the general forum is better than I expected, as most my old timer bros warned me and so on. However when you post something be aware “There’s always a nose that knows” (“Big Mouth”, Smiths) so what I know is you better have a tough skin and be able to back up your s*#t. People willing to help and not get personal have earned respect. To my point…
Recently read the Dewey Weber book “Little Man on Wheels” and this probably not news or very interesting. But a lot of us loved that little phart, many tried to save him. And like Captain Kirk he knew he would die alone. What a sad story.
You’ll have to read between the lines on my book review.
Velsy’s exit was much better.
Aloha hoaloha
Welcome to the E&B club!
Abandon all hope ye who enter here....
Lotsa great info / sharing on the Gen Discussion forum, its an education and a half. Sometimes things go a little sideways for one reason or another, and end up in Errors and Bugs, and you'll hear cries of "banned", "deleted", "censored", "no freedom of speech", etc etc bla bla bla. But Huie gets it, Ambrose does too. Its just another folder, accessible to all just a click away, and the "rules" are a lot more relaxed over on this side of the tracks, hahaha. You can fart over here and no one even raises an eyebrow.
Check out the other folders too when you get a chance. Gen Discussion is just one folder of many, although admittedly the one with most the action. But Swaylocks Surfshop has a couple ongoing threads that get a bit of regular action also. And Quiver is another awesome resource, with too many cool boards.
Don't know the Dewey Weber story, or the Velzy story. Guess I'll have to read the book. Right now I'm reading The Surfboard: Art, Style, Stoke by Ben Marcus, pretty interesting history, probably just a re-hash of old info for you, but much of it is news to me, and it has great photos of lots of old wood and early foam boards that are really inspirational.
Be careful about hanging out at E&B too much: Bad company is the ruin of good character my friend!

You might be right about that.
The original poster put it here, and as a moderator I really don't like to move stuff around unless its really an egregious oversight. I kinda think of E&B as Swaylocks' back alley, where people can put stuff if they want to have a conversation out of the mainstream. So I left it where he put it. I guess if anyone else wants to vote to move it, I can. I'm here to serve!

I agree lots more people would see it there, and it is a subject of interest to a lot of people, I think.
But you know how us old pharts are LOL!
Thanks for the review.
I will have to get this book.
I love anything surfing related when it comes to books.
I guess only us old-guys still read books.
The younger generation only watch video's.
