The million dollar question.
I have been shaping and glassing fun boards for myself up to board 6, I stick with the same process stringerless eps bords using M grade density EPS. My glassing shedule is 6/6/6 on top and 6.6 on the bottom. They are fairly robust to say the least.
I was able to get a supply of H grade eps and have shaped 2 fun boards and want to reduce my glassing shedule back to 6/6 on top and 6 on the bottom. After reading the forum's im no closer to an answer. Will such a schedule be strong enough?
And secondly as a backyard shaper would i get any benfits out of replacing one layer of my top layer with a carbon weaved cloth, which is availiable through Shapers Australia. My boards have been coming out quite nicely and if i can reduce weight and maintain strength and be happy to soak up the extra $7 per meatre for the cloth.
