Im going to make a eps/wood surfboard and i realy like the way Siebert boards look like, so i would like to try to make something similar. The problem is I cant figure out what spicies of wood they use. On their website they say that they use the Caixeta / Marupá, Cedar Rose, Figueira-White and Kapok since these are brasilian woods i cant find their names in english or if I can they are not available in Europe. Google doesnt seem to help a lot with the names. Does anyone know what are these wood spicies and what could I use that looks similar if not radily available? Skins are Marupa and Poplar seems to be closest looking and available in Europe but cant figure out the rails. And i realy like the look of the rails. Here are some photos of their boards:
