Terry was a long time participant. Can’t say I remember the profile name he used here but others surely will. On alt.surfing, where I first met him, he was known as sdbchguy.
That's just terrible news.
I think Terry went under the name of " mtb "

I was startled by images of his martian-looking kneeboards when I first saw them as a teenager in Surfer magazine. It was cool to see him participating in this forum years later: transmissions from Mars. As a science-challanged dumbo I’d get vicarious pleasure reading what he wrote here; Look Dad, surfers aren’t all idiots. He seemed generous, kind and well-loved.
An obituary said he’d ride Swamis in the middle of the night. wearing a strobe-lit helmet to warn others that he was riding. Doesn’t that say something?
