Made myself this summertime log. 60/40 rails with some extra rocker in the tail and some flattened rocker in the nose with a slightly rolled bottom and I put in about a 4ft long concave. Gloss and polish on the orange resin swirl and sanded finish on the opaque deck and rails.
2 thumbs up....
Longboard - 9'3" x 23" x 3". As for the outline I cheated a lil' bit. I had a "little" help from a pro shaper. I wanted something like a pig but not that wide ass.
Shortboard - 6'2" x 21" x 2.5"
All glass job done with uv resin and uv sun bed.
Can't wait to try them.
Colin, I like the LB outline. Very subtle. Not quite a pig. But close.
all the best

It's been a while since I last posted here. Actually it's been a while since I HAVE BEEN HERE at all. Sorry, guys, lots of work and family tend to keep me away. Anyway, here are some of the latest longboards that I recently made; The orange one is a special order made from a custom US Blank with 3 balsa/red cedar T-bands, I added wooden nose and tail-blocks and the owner made me add a tinted resin triangle to the nose in which a semi-precious stone is included. The blue one is a classic nose-rider and the CLEAR (when was the last time I made a CLEAR board, again?) is a hybrid between a longboard, a glider and a gun.
beautiful boards balsa
NIce work Balsa. But clear? You have to put your foot down with the customer.
Im with Greg haha. Although when you do a lot of color, a white board is a rare collectable. I’ve only made 1 and it was built with a friend.

All Beautiful of course. But nothin’ wrong with clear. Yater called himself a “Purist” because he limited his color work. With guys like Beatty and Channin doing his glassing, he could have had any “Mexican Blanket” “Tye Dye” BS he wanted.
