It is a butt ugly board haha (a one off thats for sure)
I'm not going there with the carbon lay-up again. How's how weird it makes the outline look from the deck lol
oh well... It's nice and light this time around.
york looking great! would love to see you do a version with no wing and a split tail
Love the split-fin thing.
You just took this thing to a
whole nuvvah level.
it's a spin off idea from on of Bill's "thrailkill" post on a thread.
I rode it yesterday in shitty punchy waves. It rode a lot stiffer then I expected (those back fins are quite small).
I didn't surf for long so....
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny 2-3 foot straight offshore day, perfect little running waves.
I have ridden this one with a few different fin set ups and was thinking it was best as a thruster.
I took a bunch of boards down yesterday to try.
Thought i'd warm up on this board with 3" 'thin' single foil rears in it.
It changed the board and went good straight off the bat.
...At speed it gripped, and at slow it slipped.
I ended up not changing boards and rode it for over 3 hours.
Epic stuff buddy, I have plans in the works to make one inspired by this design and the sciphi kinda thing. But I'm thinking I might just go a standard single to double concave, letting the outline do the work. I don't want to stuff it up.
Keeping the rocker similar to the 5'6" sunny round, jusy making it a bit more refined foil through the extremities.

Funny how things go around.
Here's one of the boards I made on this thread being ridden. Great little vid by stab mag.
