Wow! Incredible job, both of you, but that story was as sad as "Old Yeller".
chumble chumble, very sad.
Im open for any suggestions from those of you who might have a creative thought on repairing the damaged cardboard. The core pattern is a system, I assume, so removing the center area affected and placing a few ribs in there for support could cause further damage.
My eyeball judgement sais, its about 1/4 inch compression in the more affected area.
One thought I did have, was to use clothes pins, modify them with thin flat pieces of wood, like popsicles and clamp them to the damaged areas of the cardboard. It'd take roughtly 100 of them to do this. Hmmm....time to fish out some ideas from everyone.
Those fins FLOAT
Thinking about a simple jig, that I can make, that I can drop down into the centers and shore up everything, Mostly dinking around before I head to bed. This is me, brainstorming.
