Bought a G&S 9' 6" Classic noserider in 1999 and had no problems with it. It rides as well as my regular G&S volan Classic noserider if not better.
The engineering of the clamps and screws/bolts is well thought out, the bolts absorb any flexing and will shear first if hit by a big wave thus protecting the board.
Pope probably made a mistake going for the hollow boards he should have stuck with West Coast board builders and american engineering.
When I bought my board back then the Bisect was well regarded.

I purchased a used one and I'm very happy with it.
Mine is the Harbour 9'-6" Banana poly.
Traveled to Panama in January 2011 and had no bagagge fees.
The board rides very good. Hard to beleive it disasembles in (2) pieces.
