Ok, i like the idea of cutting away some of the foam and gluing on some fresh XPS. Does the size of the tailblock matter? Ill be installing a single fin box.
Hayden-Size does not matter other than what you think looks pleasing and what fills in the void. I would 'Google' some boards with tailblocks, decide where your box needs to go, and sketch it out on paper full size to help with the visuals. -J
PS You could also do an angled wedge of EPS symetric to the centerline of the board, with the point somewhere inside the finbox area and fanning out over the pintail.
Be safe, have fun. -J
Great, thanks for the help J. Im not too concerned with visual appeal but all the advice is greatly appreciated.
9-6,16.75,22.75+2,14.75, 3-1/8 speed shape/glider, I can’t really tell a huge difference between the two other than a glider may have a slightly straighter plan shape.
I’m not as big on two part backgrounds, dips or popsicles the way some are on this site; but you have done an excelllent job with that one primarily because of the colors achieved. One thing I have always liked(and have done a few myself) spreading the accent from a central point the way you did your darker color. Very well done. Every board is different. That’s why resin work becomes “Art”. As I have told a few board builders; you can copy a resin tint board that someone else has done, but it will Never be an exact copy.

Parsurf, there is just something nice about shinny objects. Love that.

Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught. - Winston Churchill
it's been a while. don't quit your day job and all that. finally had to replace a shortboard. vacuum system has a few small leaks, but not enough to really warrant totally breaking it down to redo all the connections. miss this place.
That one is going to get noticed!
Nice one pompano. Talk about the rails pls
