I pulled my first comment . Thanks for the feedback.
People are going to do what they are going to do. Watch your back and live better. Shapers are going to go on creating really amazing boards to ride . Keep the stoke. j
I'm guessing this guy's initials are GB?
“That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”
sounds like they moved the boards from Jeffs warehouse, where I pawed through them years ago
No 2 alike, each board reflecting it's shapers deal
put 3 10'8's on the ground side by side, each one different in many ways
tape measure numbers don't tell the whole story, and they sure don't self-execute
get that rocker wrong, could be terminal
I don't know anything about the twig website, the guys building them, or surfing those types of waves. But honestly, guys and gals that surf Mav's and other places like that are a different. If you need a board for that type of surf are you going to buy something from a site with a catchy marketing paragraph or are you going to go to the source and buy a board from someone with a proven track record of builing big wave boards for given conditions. They are NOT hard to find. Mike

SHAPER SINCE 1958
Of course, taking somebody's board numbers without permission is just plain wrong which I think was the point of the original poster. Mike
Surfing big waves is dangerous.
Life threatening waves.
Don't trust some clown who copies others boards.
Go to the source.
They have experience.
Would not want to catch a 20 footer and have your board stall out and you take it on the head.
Surfboards made by hand. Not machine.
I'm not a web page. I do not build surfboards for a living. I do not surf big waves..........I did not steel your ideas.......Where did your ideas come from?
I have reversed engineered quite a few surf boards...............You can hate me for that.....Funny when A guy wants to copy a Custom surfboard and the Custom shaper gives him a blow out of his lastest Model.....not the Custom they wanted....Happens all the time.....and then they come over to some hack like me....50 boards and counting....I'm not stealing your business........You are not taking care of your people.......I am not that good. I turn down work....Your work.
No hate, every one has their thing, yours sounds solid, Stay stoked!
Well, it's only taken a few years for some of the truth to come out. This is part of the reason why I decided to stop shaping for a bit. He is not the only one doing it. Finally realized that I wasn't going to let the actions of others stop me from doing what I love. Back at it now with a much better perspective. These guys will come and go, have seen it multiple times throughout the years. Doesn't do any good to hate.
