I just got a 7'4" Anderson Bojorquez. I haven't gotten to ride it much, but is seems to ride as advertised - you have to surf it off the rails, rather than pivot from the tail. It's a very different feel, and you do have to be rather conscious of what you're doing. It's somewhat difficult to ride for me. I have a 7.5" True Ames L-flex fin, and the board feels to me "under finned." I don't know if this is the way the board is supposed to be, or if I'd get better results from a bigger fin. Generally, the board is a little hard to turn, and you have to step up and lean into the rail. If you have a perfect wave with time to set up, that's great, but its difficult otherwise. My question is, does anyone have any experience with these boards and various types and sizes of fins? My other board is a 9'2" Lauren Yater, with a 9.5" Yater "rudder" type fin. (Also True Ames.) It's probably the best board I've ever owned, and I've had a lot of boards, and has a wonderfully smooth and responsive ride, and I think some of that has to do with the fin. I'm tempted to put a smaller size Yater rudder on the Bojorquez. Any input would be appreciated.
