i posted a message before about glassing with a roller. ive now got some pics and i hope you can all see one of the best ways ive found to do clean, light, pinhole free polyester laminating!
what the motha fark!!! why are most of the pics supposely on this forum freeeekin invisible???? isn`t there a simple way to poast images here that actually appear???? then stay visible for more than 5 minutes??????!!
It's funny...some people can shape a plank and ride it on a surging mass of energy but they can't figure out how to link a photo to a discussion forum. Go figure. Enjoy, S.
well sorry about all the attempts to get the pic up i had a few distractions at the time and wasnt concentrating! im still trying to get the hang of this IT stuff. the numbers on the pics are by no means the order of steps. just reference numbers for discussion of finer details. since spending a few days doing this kind of glassing i really saw the benifits. the first couple of times it seemed harder and not as good, after a little practice i was able to get the weights down and the quality up! we virtually get no pinholes. even air in the nose and tails is completly eliminated. there is no need to fill in any holes after sanding. even the weave is minimal after a complete sand job. no finish coats needed! im getting the weights down and increaseing the size of the lap. i do have to stress it took me around 20 boards to get it better than my years of working with a squeegee. but the more i do with it the better the work becomes... i really would like to see how this would work with gregs epoxys? http://www.feraldave.com
im interested if this method would woerk with epoxy too
