I'd like to ask any Swayers here in Oregon if they want to do a local get together?

I'll put it in "Hookups" too, but in light of this thread - I'd be keen to share the stoke.


I'll offer my Newport location to start with. Got a little temple shed
out back, good for all aspect, although I do my stingers in the
driveway, and hot wire in the garage, but all in all - love to talk
shop with any interested.

Hey man, how's it going!? I'm out n portland right now, but I also live in central cali part of the time. Anyhow, I'm intersted in meeting folks to shape boards with. I've shaped 3 re-shapes-with super results! One board I'm doing right now a tri fin -six foot long x 19.5" x 2.5" thick. Cool ur buildin stingers! I love how they surf I owned one man! Lol Its a board I think that was way over looked. My only issue I have is: I am out of wheels.:( I was in a collision about 3 weeks ago and my truck is a goner.. Anyhow, I'm hoping I could find folks who have facilities, shaping stands etc., near portland area so that I can share what I know, build, learn and grow.... With a cool peeps to share the wealth with.... And build some unreal magic surfboards that we all want to get our hands on !! Loll

Hey Shapaholic - As I wrote, I'm down in Newport.  Feel free to contact me if you want.  I read what you wrote about "stingers," and thought... "Hmmm, I haven't made one of those in years..."  Then I read my original post and realized I wrote 'stinger' when I meant 'stringers.'  Ha! Big difference.

Anyway - send me a PM if you feel like it.

I don't know if you've checked it out, but there may be some folks from Oregonsurf.com who are shaping in the pdx area.  Good luck

Hey TayiorO, I would be interested in a "Get together" in Oregon. I live in the north coast area can travel south. It WOULD be nice to meet some sways and share the stoke.

Hey Orfin - PM me if you're gonna come down Newport way, or if you want my number.  I imagine you may make it to that infamous northern spot.  I get up there on occasion, maybe we could compare boards up there some day.
