I fully refurbished this Skil 190 planer inside and out, to like new condition. Motor tested to ensure proper amp levels. This planer was originally sold by Force Machinery Company in N.J. In business from 1948 to 2011
Force Machinery ordered these in large quantities from Skil and were adorned with the Force Machinery Company badge, either by Skil before delivery to the store or by Force Machinery after delivery (not sure witch). This planer was manufacture sometime from 1952 to 1955 This is the older model 190 low ribs. It ran just fine with the original armature , but I installed a newer 1980's 5.5 amp armature for good measure.
